{"id":2319,"date":"2024-04-22T19:17:19","date_gmt":"2024-04-22T19:17:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.psva.org\/?p=2319"},"modified":"2024-04-22T19:19:23","modified_gmt":"2024-04-22T19:19:23","slug":"evms-psychiatry-program-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.psva.org\/?p=2319","title":{"rendered":"EVMS Psychiatry Program Update"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By Chelsey Rountree, MD<\/strong><br><em>EVMS<br>Norfolk, VA\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EVMS Psychiatry Staff:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dr. Hitson, clinical psychologist, will be heading the residency therapy clinic.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>David Arthur, PA-C, will work alongside faculty attendings as part of the next-day access clinic, which aims to provide rapid psychiatric follow up care to SNGH patients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Shriti Patel will be inducted into the EVMS Chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society in April of 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EVMS Psychiatry Residents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dr. Vivian Tran will also be&nbsp;inducted into the EVMS Chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society in April of 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Tony Colangelo will be inducted into the EVMS Chapter of AOA in May of 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Four\u00a0of our five\u00a0PGY-3 residents will be heading into Child &amp; Adolescent Psychiatry fellowships in the fall.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dr. Tony Colangelo will be at Children\u2019s Hospital of the King\u2019s Daughters in Norfolk, VA.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Vivian Tran will be heading to Creighton University in Arizona.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Alex Lucci will be starting at the University of Miami in Florida.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Sameer Yousuf will be off to Oregon Health and Science University.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We wish them all the best at their new sites.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Chelsey Rountree, MDEVMSNorfolk, VA\u00a0 EVMS Psychiatry Staff: EVMS Psychiatry Residents: Four\u00a0of our five\u00a0PGY-3 residents will be heading into Child &amp;
