2 – Low levels of Urinary Taurine Possibly Associated with Psychosis, Childhood Trauma and Suicidal Risk: A Case Report
Sophia Gumas; Dorit Ben-Ami, MD
As a VCU medical student, attending PSV conferences has been a delightful opportunity every year that I attend. The research presented is always very creative and interesting. This year, I was fortunate enough to present my own research, which was a case report that highlighted the potential use of taurine as a suicidal risk assessment. I was fortunate enough to receive an Honorable Mention Award for this work. Ultimately, PSV conferences are a fantastic networking opportunity that is very educational. I look forward to attending in the future.
