Become an APA Fellow

As an active member of the APA community, you are invited to take the next step in your career and apply to become a Fellow of the APA (FAPA).

Becoming a Fellow is an honor that reflects your dedication to the profession and comes with the FAPA designation and is recognized by your peers as a mark of your leadership in the field of psychiatry.

Application Process:

Review the qualification requirements and complete the application by September 1, 2026.
Candidates will be informed of their status by December 31, 2026.
New Fellows will be recognized during the Convocation of Distinguished Fellows at the APA Annual Meeting in 2027.*

Fellows of the APA are members of a select group dedicated to shaping the role of psychiatry in our healthcare system. Please join us in signaling your commitment to your colleagues and patients.
