Become an APA Fellow

As an active member of the APA community, you are invited to take the next step in your career and apply to become a Fellow of the APA (FAPA).

Becoming a Fellow is an honor that reflects your dedication to the profession and comes with the FAPA designation and is recognized by your peers as a mark of your leadership in the field of psychiatry.

Application Process:

  • Review the qualification requirements and complete the application by September 1, 2026.
  • Candidates will be informed of their status by December 31, 2026.
  • New Fellows will be recognized during the Convocation of Distinguished Fellows at the APA Annual Meeting in 2027.*

Fellows of the APA are members of a select group dedicated to shaping the role of psychiatry in our healthcare system. Please join us in signaling your commitment to your colleagues and patients.
