PSV member, Mariel Herbert, MD with Herbert Psychiatry, LLC has opened a new ABPN-certified outpatient adult psychiatry and psychotherapy practice for adults in Northern Virginia. Offered: in-person evaluations, ongoing psychiatric medication management, and short- and long-term psychotherapy for individuals and groups.
Individual telehealth appointments are available M-F, evenings, and weekends. Two new psychotherapy groups start in May 2025 for Physicians and “Non-Moms”–both virtual, open to Virginia and Maryland residents.
Dr. Herbert’s psychotherapeutic background is primarily in psychodynamic and specialized cognitive therapies. Her approach is integrative, with an emphasis on lifestyle psychiatry/medicine, developmental trauma, difficulties relating to self and to others, and existential struggles.
