PSV member Dr. Greg Briscoe, Associate Residency Training Director at EVMS and Past President of ADMSEP, was the 2025 recipient of the Fred Sierles ADMSEP Leadership and Excellence in Psychiatric Education Award. It is the organization’s highest award, recognizing “lifetime contributions and achievements within the realm of psychiatric undergraduate medical education. Award winners are chosen for the exceptional value of their sustained scholarly activity such as high impact publications, national presentations, shared best educational practices, advancement of pedagogy, and/or leadership in teaching.”
Background
Founded in 1975, The Association of Directors of Medical Student Education in Psychiatry (ADMSEP) is a national association of clerkship directors in psychiatry. Most medical schools in the US and several internationally are actively represented.
